Using Full Desktop mode in SlingProjector

Full Desktop mode is one of the ways that you can use SlingProjector to transmit images from your PC to your SlingCatcher (and into your TV).

It's pretty simple: in Full Desktop mode (keyboard shortcut F6), SlingProjector directs your entire computer screen to your SlingCatcher, which displays your screen on your TV. This can be helpful for:

  • Presentations
  • Demonstrating computer software
  • Teaching someone how to perform a task

... and so on.

If you find that the image is jumpy or erratic on your TV, try using Window mode instead, and select a smaller area.

Because your PC desktop resolution may be higher than what your TV is capable of displaying, SlingCatcher downscales the video to fit on your TV.  However, a side effect of this is that some text and graphics appear in lower quality than they appear on the PC.

For the best viewing experience when streaming Internet videos from a web browser: we recommend that you use Windows Internet Explorer 7.
