If you're having trouble using SlingProjector, the first thing to check is whether your computer has what's needed.
First of all: is your PC powerful enough?

Note: SlingProjector is not compatible with the 64-bit version of Windows Vista.
Next: is your network up to the task?
Network type: not all network connection types are best for using SlingProjector and SlingCatcher:
- For your PC to your router: you'll need a wired ethernet connection, a (minimum) 802.11g connection if you're using wireless, or SlingLink bridges;
- For SlingCatcher to your router: you'll need a wired ethernet connection, or SlingLink bridges.
Network performance: this is harder to assess, but it can make a big difference on how well SlingProjector can send audio/video to the SlingCatcher. Some things to look at:
- If you're using wireless, is it (minimum) 802.11g?
- Do web pages load at a reasonable speed on your computer and network, compared with other computers you've used (at work, friend's house, etc.)?
- Have you ever had trouble with the connection between your PC and your router (or access point)? This is far more likely to be a problem with a wireless connection. Wired connections (including SlingLinks) usually work great and are the most trouble-free type.
