*The Slingbox PRO requires the Sling Media HD Connect product to work with your HD equipment. The HD Connect port on the back of your Slingbox PRO is designed specifically to work in tandem with a HD Connect. If you plug your HD device directly into the Slingbox PRO without using a HD Connect, the Slingbox will not recognize the video signal coming from that device; it behaves as if nothing is connected to the port at all.

Set-top box gets "stuck" on an unsubscribed channel when controlled by another device
If you're using a device (such as a TiVo) to control a set-top box, like a DishTV box, sometimes the set-top box gets "stuck" on a channel that you don't subscribe to. Here's an arrangement you can set up to get un-stuck when you're away from home.
