Note: You'll need component video and analog stereo cables
that are compatible with your audio/video equipment. For more information on AppleTV compatible cables,
contact your Apple retailer or visit the Apple web site.
If you have a Slingbox PRO, you'll need the Slingbox HD Connect. Using compatible cables, connect your AppleTV, the HD Connect and your television as described in the HD Connect QuickStartGuide.
If you have a Slingbox SOLO or a Slingbox PRO-HD, you'll just need to connect your AppleTV, your Slingbox SOLO and your television as described in the QuickStartGuide for your Slingbox.
Once you've connected your AppleTV to your Slingbox, follow these steps:
Launch the SlingPlayer for the Macintosh application.
From the Slingbox menu, choose Get Info.
In the Slingbox Info window, select the Configuration tab.
In the Configuration tab, click the Change Audio/Video Setup button.
Follow the prompts (you may be asked for your Admin password).
When you reach the Source Selection window, select Miscellaneous Device, and click Continue.
In the Device Brand window, select Apple, and then click Continue.
In the Device Model window, select Apple TV, and then click Continue to finish setting up your Slingbox.
Now both the SlingPlayer for the Macintosh and Windows will be able to control an Apple TV!

I get no video with any SlingPlayer on the PC, the Mac, or even on Sling.com. I can't stream video at all. Why? If you have video equipment that connects using an HDMI cable and then try to stream, you may get extremely poor or no video in SlingPlayer for Windows, SlingPlayer for the Mac OS, or at Sling.com. Even after you double-check all of the cables and make sure that everything works, there may not be any video from your Slingbox. This article explains why this happens and it includes a workaround.
Don't panic if you see a message in SlingPlayer or the Slingbox Setup Assistant that says We're not detecting any video or Weak or no video signal. Here's what to do.
SlingPlayer with the beta or release candidate versions of Windows 7 or Internet Explorer 8 If you're running the beta version of Internet Explorer 8 in either Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7, you may encounter unexpected behavior. You may also have problems with the beta version of Windows 7. You may also have problems with the release candidate versions of these products. The finalized, released versions of these products are fine with SlingPlayer 2.0.3 or later.
