SlingPlayer Mobile keeps telling me "Incorrect Slingbox password. Please try again" when I try to watch my Slingbox.
If you keep seeing the message:
Incorrect Slingbox password. Please try again
... here are some steps to help you troubleshoot this error:
Make sure you've entered the right password
Be sure that if you're using an Admin password, if you've specified the option to use an Admin password.
Configure your Slingbox to use Port 5001
If another version of SlingPlayer can connect to your Slingbox from outside of your home network, make sure your Slingbox is configured to use Port 5001. In some situations, SlingPlayer Mobile will not connect to a Slingbox that's configured to use a Port outside of the low 5000-range. Do not use a Port other than 5001 or 5002 if you have another Slingbox. Using Port 5001 will better ensure that SlingPlayer Mobile will connect to your Slingbox.
If you're already using Port 5001 and SlingPlayer for Windows or Macintosh can connect to your Slingbox...
While SlingPlayer Mobile supports many types of high-speed data connections, a lot depends on your provider and their data plan. Some cellular phones and carriers may require you to change specific settings to allow video streaming from your Slingbox to your mobile phone. If you can view your Slingbox on a computer outside of your home network and you're using Port 5001, but you can't view on your mobile phone, check with your cellular provider to ensure that your phone and data plan are configured to allow video streaming from your Slingbox.
