My SlingPlayer keeps showing error 0x9234006D. What's going on?
Seeing error messages instead of your TV programs can be frustrating, especially when you've set up your Slingbox without a problem.
When you get a message that says something about Error 0x9234006D, try this:
Look on your home or remote computer or handheld for security software that includes "Parental Controls" or "Family Safety" content filtering. Sometimes, the problem can be solved by stopping or disabling the software that's responsible.
For example, if you have Windows Live OneCare with its Family Safety features, go to the Microsoft web site for current information about configuring it.
Some software packages will still cause this error in SlingPlayer, even after you've disabled them.
For example, after MSN Messenger with Family Safety controls has been installed on your PC, you'll see its icon at the taskbar. Even though you can right-click on it and disable it, it still won't allow the SlingPlayer to stream. MSN Messenger with Family Safety controls will allow only the websites that you choose but it does not give you the option to allow specific programs to run, like SlingPlayer.
In these instances you might need to completely uninstall the Parental Control or Family Safety software in question. Check with the manufacturer of that software if you have questions on how to do this. Before running SlingPlayer again, you might need to restart your PC.
