SlingCatcher is taking FOREVER to scan my USB hard drive

If you have plugged in your USB hard drive to your SlingCatcher and the thing seems to just keep on scanning, chances are there are a lot of audio files on the drive. These can take a frustratingly long time to be scanned by SlingCatcher.
