Disconnecting a USB storage device from SlingCatcher

I want to disconnect a USB drive from my SlingCatcher. Do I need to "eject" it first?

SlingCatcher doesn't offer an option to "eject" a USB drive before disconnecting it, as PCs do. Most of the time you can safely remove a USB drive. You should not remove the drive while you are viewing content that is on the drive or when it is being scanned by the SlingCatcher.

You can tell if the hard drive is being scanned by selecting My Media from the SlingCatcher main menu. If it says "Scanning" - wait until it is done to remove the drive.
