I'm getting a "SlingCatcher is unable to connect to your home network" error

If this happens to you when you're setting up SlingCatcher for the first time, here's what to do.

1) Make sure that SlingCatcher is properly connected to your home network. Double-check the cables and connections.

2) Make sure that your SlingCatcher is connected to the Internet and that the connection is working. An Internet connection is required to download the SlingCatcher software (also called "firmware").

3) If you want SlingCatcher to use a static IP address, you must use DHCP to complete the first time setup. Once you’ve set up SlingCatcher, you can then switch to a static IP address. On your SlingCatcher, go to Settings>Network and then select Static IP Address.
