The TV picture in SlingPlayer is split up. What should I do?

Problem: You’re all ready to watch your favorite program with your Slingbox and the picture looks like it's split up. What's going on?

In some versions of Slingbox Software ("firmware"), the screen image my be split horizontally or vertically. Your picture may even be a combination of a horizontal and a vertical split. The three images below show what this looks like:

 Normal
(A nice person holding a Slingbox)

 Split horizontally
(The top or bottom of the image is in the wrong place)
Split-Horizontally.jpg
 Split vertically
(The left or right of the image is in the wrong place)
Split-Vertically.jpg

Solution: This is easy to fix. Just download and install the latest version of the SlingPlayer software and your picture will return to normal. If you already have the latest version, download it again and reinstall it.

Important: It’s always best to install Slingbox software when you’re at home. If there are problems with a weak connection while you’re away from home, the software may not install properly and your Slingbox will need to be reset manually.
