Some of my channels are missing in SlingPlayer. I can view them the regular way on my TV, so what's going on?
If some of your channels don't appear in the SlingPlayer Guide, here are some troubleshooting steps. You don't have to reinstall anything and you don't have to reset your Slingbox.
Launch SlingPlayer, if you don't have it running already. Under the Settings menu, go to Setup Assistant.
In the Setup Assistant, click Configure Video Sources.
Select the input that your video source is connected to. [component, composite, etc.]
Double-check the connections to your Slingbox. Make sure that the source that you want to configure is connected to the correct input. Make sure that's also what you have selected in SlingPlayer.
Click Reset for the input that you've chosen. If you don't do that, your Slingbox can retain information from a previous channel scan.
Enter the ZIP code and choose the city.
Select the type of service that you have. Double-check that you've chosen the correct description for your provider.
It's easy to confuse the various types of service. If you're not sure
what kind of service you have, call your cable or satellite company.
For example, here are some commonly confused Descriptions:
"Cable Company - City [usually Analog / fewer channels]" vs. "Cable Company - Digital - City (non-rebuild)"
"Satellite Company City [local feed]" vs. "Satellite Company ['Network' - which is a national feed - no local channels]
Analog Cable vs. Digital (Clear QAM) vs. Antenna Analog vs. Antenna Digital vs., etc.
Make sure that you have selected the correct antenna IN source (Analog or Digital).
Scan for stations. Remember that the digital tuner in Slingbox PRO-HD can only scan for unencrypted channels.
If you still have problems with your channels not appearing, don't panic, don't reinstall anything and don't reset your Slingbox. None of those things will help. Just give our friendly Technical Support agents a call and they'll help you resolve the issue.
