Troubleshooting

Did you get an "Unable to display dialog" error when installing SlingCatcher Desktop software?

If you try to install SlingCatcher Desktop, and you see this error:

Unable to display dialog. Setup canceled

... there are two things that you must do:

  1. Free up disk space on your computer's hard disk (SlingPlayer Desktop software requires at least 50 MB of free space);
  2. Download the latest version of the SlingCatcher Desktop installer from the Sling Media website. (If you're seeing the exact error message above, then you don't have the latest version of the SlingCatcher Desktop installer.)

Note: Making sure that you're installing SlingCatcher Desktop using the latest installer file offers many benefits, but it doesn't change the need to upgrade your Windows software to Service Pack 2 (or higher).

See the documentation that came with your computer for information on upgrading your Windows software.
