Audio/video out of sync when using the BlackBerry 8900 in the Mono audio mode

If you're watching your TV using SlingPlayer Mobile for BlackBerry on a BlackBerry 8900 phone, sometimes the audio may seem out-of-sync. For example, when people onscreen talk, you might see them move their lips before you heard any words.

If this is happening with your BlackBerry 8900, then it's likely that the problem comes from a BlackBerry 8900-specific quirk that causes audio to be out-of-sync when you use either of these Mono audio modes:

  • Mono Low
  • Mono High

So, instead of using mono mode, listen to audio in Stereo mode whenever you use this phone. (Stereo mode sounds better anyway.) Go to Settings > Audio > Audio settings, and then choose either Stereo Low or Stereo High. Audio and video should now be in synch.
