Just getting started with SlingPlayer Mobile for BlackBerry? Here's a good introduction.
Note: This is the same Quick Start Guide that you see when you first launch SlingPlayer Mobile for BlackBerry on your phone.
The Basics
- Move the trackball LEFT or RIGHT to move a button on the control Ribbon into the center Hot Spot.
- Press the trackball to SELECT the control in the Hot Spot.
The Hot Spot is always in the center.
Remote Control
- Move the Ribbon so REMOTE CONTROL is in the Hot Spot.
- Press the trackball to open the Remote Control Ribbon.
Roll/press the trackball to send remote control functions.
Favorites
- Move the Ribbon so FAVORITES is in the Hot Spot.
- Press the trackball to open the Favorites Ribbon.
Roll the trackball to select a favorite channel, then press the trackball to change the channel.
Useful Tips
- Press ALT, then use the number keys to enter a channel number.
- Press ENTER to switch to Fullscreen mode and back. (Does not apply to the Pearl and Pearl Flip)
- To navigate through on-screen guides and menus, press SPACE until the control ribbon is hidden, then use the trackball to move around and select.
Sling Accounts
Log into your Sling Account to retrieve:
- Slingboxes you configured with SlingPlayer 2.0 for Windows.
- Mobile Favorites – your list of SlingPlayer Mobile favorite channels. It's created the first time you use SlingPlayer Mobile and log into your Sling Account.
- Use SlingPlayer 2.0 for Windows to edit your Mobile Favorites.
Important Note: Sling Account related features are not currently available to Mac users or folks outside the US and Canada. |
