| | Info about SlingPlayer Mobile for BlackBerry Listen and Letterbox options
In Settings, you can personalize the way that SlingPlayer Mobile connects and shows you your audio/video programs.
Here are two settings that you may find especially useful:
- Listen: If you're not watching video at the moment, choosing Listen conserves bandwidth and may provide slightly better audio. This setting works like a toggle switch. When you choose this mode, the control "toggles" and changes to Watch. Choosing Watch toggles the control back to Listen mode, and you can see audio again.
- Letterbox: These days, video is broadcast in several different length/width screen formats, for example:
- Standard format, which has its ratio of 3:4;
- Widescreen format, with a ratio of 16:9.
With the Letterbox option, you can determine how you want the video to appear on your TV screen. If the picture looks too narrow and overly-tall, choosing the Letterbox setting changes the aspect ratio for the widescreen video format. |
