Troubleshooting problems with connecting to your Slingbox while away from home

remoteviewing.jpg

We understand how frustrating it can be to get to a hotel room or to work and to try to connect to your Slingbox to watch the game and it doesn't work. What happened? It was just working yesterday!

The problem is probably one of the following:

  • Your home network or your Slingbox is currently unavailable
  • Your router lost the configuration settings to router the slingbox traffic properly
  • The remote network (at the hotel or cafe or at work) is blocking access
  • The Slingbox Locator Service is down

Troubleshooting these problems is best done while you are at home. But there are a few things you can do if you are away from home that will help narrow down the issue.
