File Playback and Conversion FAQ For SlingCatcher
- How does SlingSync work?
- SlingSync is designed to provide a central place on your computer where you can easily locate all the media files you have on your hard drive and sync them to an external USB hard-drive or USB flash-stick for playback on the SlingCatcher. SlingSync will locate your media files and verify if they are compatible with the SlingCatcher. And the program will attempt to convert any media files that are not compatible into a format that will work with the SlingCatcher.
While the program will not be able to convert every possible media file into a readable format, it covers most of the big formats out there today.
- Will SlingSync convert any audio or video file so that it can be played on my SlingCatcher?
- Probably not. There are a lot of file formats out there. We can't convert all of them. But we will convert that vast majority of the popular formats out there.
