  • Which countries are supported?
  • SlingPlayer 2.0 for Windows is currently only available for customers whose Slingbox is installed in the United States or Canada. Customers elsewhere should continue to use SlingPlayer 1.5 for Windows.

  • Can I use SlingPlayer 2.0 for Windows outside of the United States and Canada?
  • If you are outside of the United States and Canada, but are accessing a Slingbox located within the U.S. or Canada, then all the features in SlingPlayer 2.0 for Windows will function properly.

Note: the SlingPlayer Guide will display what is on based on your computer's internal clock. If your computer is set to a different time-zone than your clocks at home, the guide displays the wrong information.

  • What will happen to my Favorites when I upgrade?
  • Your Channel Favorites will get converted into the new SlingPlayer 2.0 format. Command Favorites have been replaced and improved upon by the set of new features: the SlingPlayer Guide and Live Video Buffer. For example, you’ll be able to pause live TV with a single click. Or change channels by clicking directly on a program listing. There's no longer a need to create special "shortcut" icons to manage these common tasks.
  • Does SlingPlayer 2.0 for Windows support streaming in HD?
  • SlingPlayer 2.0 for Windows streams in HD if you are connected to a Slingbox PRO-HD, are watching HD content, and the bandwidth is sufficient.

  • Is my Sling Account information safe?

  • Yes. The information stored in your Sling Account is primarily used for:

    • Storing the list of Slingboxes that you regularly use, so they'll always appear in your Slingbox Directory
    • Streamlining the connection process
    • Storing your Favorites lists, so they'll be available anywhere that you use SlingPlayer
    • Providing you access to Sling Support

The information stored in your Sling Account will NOT be used for:

    • Selling, sharing, or divulging your personal data to ANYONE.
